Baking Once Again!

Every so often I get the baking bug again, especially if I haven't baked in a few weeks. I decided to make s'mores cupcakes, and pink macarons for neighbors and family. The s'more cupcakes were simply chocolate cupcakes with a buttercream frosting, and crushed graham crackers and chocolate chunks on top. The macarons were your basic macaron recipe with buttercream frosting, all tinted pink and I dusted with my edible gold dust, because let's face it, everything is better when it is gold and sparkly! I added some heart decorations as well, which gave them a very girly feel, just the way I like it! I did a DIY makeover on this cake stand, it was originally a worn down pink paint job, and I bought craft glitter and glue from Michaels, and sparkled up the stand! It sparkles so much in the sunlight that it is like twinkling stars in the daytime. My work gave me the cute little pink striped bags, because our Content Team does a lot of lifestyle photoshoots, and they know I bake a lot so they gave them to me for free, which was very sweet of them to do.

Candles, Tea and Yummy Food

I recently painted my nails a lovely purple, that happened to match the candle that was sitting in the kitchen. I love shades of purple, whether it be plum, grape, lavendar, lilac and the list goes on. I also recently made some tea, with the tea set coming from a Japanese store called Daiso, where they have so many cute trinkets and cookware for only a $1.50 each! Lastly, I bought a popsicle mold for only $5 from Amazon, and instead of using the plastic top it came with, i left it open and used popsicle sticks. I am on a popsicle binge as I am trying out healthier alternatives to sweets and chips. I tried out a recipe from a friend, and made avocado popsicles, with chocolate chips for a hint of sweetness. It was super easy to make and they were really tasty. So happy with how they turned out!

Hump Day

For my mother's birthday I made my mom a chocolate fudge 4 layer cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate ganache. I also painted my nails with daisies and made some amazing guacamole. Guacamole is my weakness and I could eat it everyday.

Cake and Macarons for the Holidays

For Christmas, I made a reindeer and gingerbread cake, and also peach macarons. I also decorated my dresser, using birch branches to hold some jewelry and lanterns, which are one of my favorites to hang from tree branches as it creates such a fairtytale feel.
