Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I created these easy-to-make (and tasty) bunnies in honor of the holiday. I baked a yellow butter cake in two 9'' pans, and I cut each cake in half so that there were two semi-circles. Then I put the two semi-circles together, flat-side down, to make the body. I spread homemade frosting, made with a special ingredient of flour that came out light and fluffy, and dyed it pink and yellow to cover the cake. Paper ears, a little licorice, candy melt noses and Good N' Plenty candy eyes were the finishing touches of my cute little bunny rabbits!

Fashion Interview

I had a fashion interview at MadisonLosAngeles on Melrose for an internship, where I wore a mod black dress with my low heeled black oxfords, and for cover up I wore my pastel pink blazer. That day, my boyfriend surprised me after the interview with a bouquet of very pretty daisies perfect for Spring, and I also made golden butter cupcakes topped with a fluffy vanilla frosting. What a wonderful day!

Hunger Games

(source: teenvogue)

Just like many others, I went and saw the Hunger Games, and unlike many books turned movies that I love including Harry Potter and Twilight, I felt that the Hunger Games really was quite accurate to the book. I was happy that instead of being highly critical and analyzing every detail, I was able to sit back, relax, and enjoy an exciting adventure with a pinch of romance delivered from very talented actors. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson's Teenvogue photoshoots are one of my favorites, with such wonderful clothes such as patterned prints and matching heels and a sleek dressy pants suit outfit dressed down.

Sweet Delights

Starting off the week with some sweet treats, whether it is accessorizing with my ice cream cone necklace, or eating a lovely rainbow cupcake made by my sister, a little sugar can brighten any day!

St. Paddy's Day

In honor of St. Patrick's Day I baked green cake pops filled with homemade frosting that tastes light, fluffy and sweet, with butter yellow cake. I also wore a teal/green sweater from Forever 21 and my swirl patterned tights. I paired these with a necklace that used to be my mother's and a headband from Aldo accessories. Most of the day was rainy and I was able to spend time catching up with a good friend while eating the festive cake pops.

Work to Casual Wear

I did a student commercial for Slim Jim over the weekend, and I was playing the waitress to a couple in a restaurant. I had to quickly buy a black dress shirt which I got from Forever21. What I love about this dress shirt is that the loose collar, paired with a slightly thinner material and rolled up sleeves, makes it very easy to turn it into a casual top. It can can then be tucked into shorts or skirts and have a more carefree and less work feel. I put the top together with my thrifted diy pink shorts and skinny black belt. Over-the-knee socks complement the black and is perfect for slightly cooler days when the sun is not too hot.
